Are gated communities and long range RFIDs the perfect match?

In a perfect world, we would be living someplace where we are safe at all times. At school, at work, and obviously, at home. Unfortunately, though, we live in a world where you need to make sure you have optimal security where you are most vulnerable. At the top of that list would be your own home, where you should always feel safe and secure.

Gated communities are known to be a generally safe place to live, however, this is not just by chance. Security is taken very seriously, especially at entrances and exits. Everyone who comes into the gated community needs to be accounted for especially if they are not residents. A very efficient and high-quality security measure that gated communities should take for that is the long range RFID. Keep reading to find out why gated communities need the long range RFID.

What is a long range RFID?

A long range RFID is a technological traffic managing system that helps track and identify objects using electromagnetic fields. RFID stands for radio frequency identification and is used to manage entrance control of vehicles in most restricted areas. This technology has great range and compatibility, and it is user-friendly.

How long range RFID works

The inner workings of the long range RFID are a lot simpler than you might expect. There are three main components to the long range RFID, and those are; The reader, the tag, and the antenna. The long range RFID reader and the antenna are joined together to send a signal to the tag. The tag is attached to the vehicles with access to the gated communities. When the tag gets close enough to the reader, the vehicle gets automatic access. The signal the reader sends is returned by the tag with information such as the ID number of the vehicle’s tag.

Premium security thanks to long range RFID

Feeling safe and secure in your own home is a human right. People who live and work in gated communities can feel safe with the long range RFID system. Whoever doesn’t have the RFID tag on their vehicle will need to be checked out before being given access to enter. So everyone can rest assured that their neighborhood is properly safe.
